Dr. Fernandes has presented the goals and advances of the SunTunTech project on the digitalization of fishing vessels, route optimization by means of decision support systems (DSS) and species forecasting. The talk entitled “Ecological and economic sustainability of Fisheries: a prices and behaviour perspective” was held on November 18 at the Faculty of Computer Science of the University of Basque Country. The presentation presented several recent publications results from the project (see references below) and highlighted some future challenges to adapt the work to other fisheries industries. The audience was a mix of other technological companies and students finalizing their master on artificial intelligence looking for inspiration for their thesis project.
