The Long Distance Fleet Advisory Council (LDAC; https://ldac.eu/en/) is an EU fisheries body representing stakeholders of both the fishing sector (including catching, processing and marketing sectors, and trade unions), and other groups of interest (environmental NGOs, consumers and civil society). LDAC organized an event to discuss the “External dimension of the European CFP today and tomorrow: present challenges and future opportunities” (https://ldac.eu/en/meetings/archive/event-cfp-external-dimension-climate-change-25-05-2023).

SusTunTech was present in the scientific panel focused on impacts of climate change to biodiversity in international waters & long distance fisheries together with speakers from FAO, ICES and IEO. The contribution of SusTunTech allowed to go beyond discussing impacts of climate change to discuss adaptation and mitigation through technological solutions.
